Who hasn’t started their holiday shopping yet? Sincerely. But statistically speaking, I know for sure that I won’t be alone. Luckily, the WIRED team has hand-tested and found some Walmart deals on devices you might want to recommend to your friends. Today, those friends are you and me. May the odds always be in our favor.

This discount is close to what we saw during Black Friday. The Samsung S90D (9/10, WIRED Recommended) is one of our very favorites out of the dozens of TVs we’ve tested. Colors are vibrant but not too bright, and contrast and black levels are perfect. It’s also gaming-ready with plenty of ports and support for Samsung’s Game Hub.
This is another great sale that follows on from the Black Friday sale. The Sony Bravia (9/10, WIRED Recommended) is our favorite QLED TV. The mini LED provides an extremely bright backlight and also includes dimming technology for optimal contrast and black levels. I wish it had a few more ports, but overall it offers amazing picture quality in almost any environment, but of course comes at a higher price.
This MacBook Air (9/10, WIRED Recommended) is the cheapest MacBook you can buy, and discounts make it even more affordable. Although it’s a little dated now, it’s still a great laptop for everyday tasks like getting work done, browsing the web, or binge-watching video essays on YouTube. If you just need a computer that doesn’t require an arm and a leg, this is a great option.
Looking for a great-looking Chromebook? It’s the Asus Chromebook Plus CX34 (7/10, WIRED Recommended). Chromebooks can often look bulky or outdated, but the CX34 is sleek and sophisticated with an all-white design that doesn’t look affordable. It can handle multiple tabs and open apps, and the webcam looks great. I wish the keyboard had a backlight, but it’s still a great affordable option and could be a great gift for a home-based household.
Everyone should have a soundbar. The Bose Smart Soundbar (8/10, WIRED Recommended) is wonderfully compact, and despite its small footprint, it packs great, spacious sound that immerses you in what you’re watching. There’s no subwoofer, so you won’t get room-shaking bass, but it still sounds much better than your TV’s tiny built-in speakers. Check out our soundbar buying guide for more information. Check out our other recommendations.
The new Beats Pill (8/10, WIRED Recommends) delivers the punchy bass that Beats audio equipment is known for. And it packs all that sound into a small, portable capsule-shaped package with 24-hour battery life and one-touch pairing to Apple and Android devices. It’s dustproof and waterproof, and you can even charge your phone through the USB-C output. If you’re looking for a portable party, this Bluetooth speaker is definitely worth checking out, especially at this price.
The Fitbit Charge 6 is our favorite fitness tracker. If you or a loved one are considering health-related New Year’s resolutions, this is a great deal. The tracker helps you monitor your steps, heart rate, skin temperature, and sleep, to name a few important categories. Although some features are locked with the $10/month Fitbit Premium subscription, we think it still offers a great suite of features at a very affordable price. See more recommendations in our Fitbit buying guide.
We’ve had better discounts than we’ve seen in the past, but if you’re in the market, you can save a ton of money on the best gaming headsets. The sound quality and fit are excellent. Latency is extremely low, which is important when figuring out where to land on the Fortnite map. It also has crystal clear sound quality when communicating healing to teammates. And it’s all done wirelessly. Check out our gaming headset buying guide for more information.
This deal beats the Black Friday discount by $10. Previously, it was difficult to find cheap headphones at a high price, but here you can get just that. Resident audio expert Parker Hall keeps these cans in his gym bag as a backup in case he forgets his regular can. He says the sound is totally decent and the price tag is even higher. Available in several different fun colors. If your child always loses their earbuds or you need a reliable backup pair, you can’t go wrong with this deal.
Home & Beauty Sale
This discount is an incredible $130 more than the Black Friday discount. The Dyson V12 Detect (8/10, WIRED Recommended) is our favorite cordless Dyson vacuum for small spaces. It comes with a small canister, so it’s perfect for tasks like cleaning the kitchen or living room rather than the whole house (unless you’re in a studio or one-bedroom, in which case it might be able to handle the whole thing) shebang). Compact and easy to store, it comes with several different attachments and a pretty bright green laser to help you find any dust bunnies you might have missed.
If you want a vacuum that’s more powerful than the V12, check out the Dyson 15 Detect, which is the best overall Dyson vacuum. Lightweight and easy to operate, the eye-catching neon green laser spotlights dirt and dust you might otherwise miss. The vacuum cleaner intelligently adjusts the suction level while cleaning and can run for 1 hour before needing to be charged. It’s expensive, but it’s high quality, so it might be the best choice for people with allergies.
The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is a godsend for chapped lips from the harsh Midwestern winters. The balm-like texture is thick and sticky at first, but quickly dissolves and penetrates painful grooves and cracks, leaving skin feeling soft and soothed. My jar lasts for years because a little goes a long way. You can also make cuticle cream in just a few moments. I’ve never seen it sold cheaper than that.
This little gadget is our favorite blow-dry brush. This is an improved version of the original and is faster and smaller than the older model. Easy to use, it quickly styles hair and leaves it with volume and movement for a blowout that looks straight out of the salon. The brush is removable if you don’t need as much airflow but still want to condition your hair.
