did not consume I didn’t have my first cup of coffee until I was 24 years old. At that time, I was forced by my former employer to attend an ad hoc cupping session. At first, I had an aversion to the taste of black coffee, but because my employer at a small chain coffee shop didn’t cover the cost of more palatable options like Minty Mocca Freeze, my taste buds has had to adapt. Little by little I began to enjoy the habit of making a fresh pot of coffee in the morning, and soon I was enjoying the opportunity to spend time with my father and drink coffee all day long when I visited my parents on holidays. Roasters like Stumptown and Coaba taught me the principles of extraction, and Black Rabbit taught me how to clean and maintain my shop, La Marzocco.
