console sale
We found a few deals on the PlayStation 5 Slim with various games and bundles. Perhaps the most widely appealing is the Amazon bundle. This includes the Fortnite Cobalt Star Bundle, a kit of in-game accessories for various Fortnite-adjacent games, and 1000 V-Bucks. If that doesn’t appeal to you, and you don’t have any playmates who want the merchandise, Best Buy is offering NBA 2K25 and the console for the same price. What is the difference between PS5 Slim and regular PS5? We have a guide that explains everything.
It’s rare to see the price of a Nintendo game console, let alone a bundle, drop this much. The only caveat is that this sale is only for the original Nintendo Switch. The OLED version, which is better and has a larger screen, is discounted at $275 ($75 off). Mario Kart 8 is also one of the best games on the Switch, and it’s still the game I play the most. Want more game recommendations? Read our guide to the best Switch games.
It’s not as much of a discount as other consoles, but you can save $50 on Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X. These are both discless versions of the game consoles, but the Series S has a capacity of 512 GB. With 1 terabyte on the Series X, you’ll need plenty of storage for your digital games. You can also add storage later. Check out our best Xbox games guide for more information.
monitor transactions
This 34-inch OLED monitor from Alienware (9/10, WIRED Recommends) leverages quantum dot technology to deliver perfect black levels and vivid colors across two different HDR levels: 400 and 1000. The 3,440 X 1,440 resolution will leave you satisfied. Use FreeSync to keep frames smooth even when your PC reaches its maximum refresh rate of 165Hz. Alienware is still a great monitor for everyday computing, especially for watching movies and TV shows. If this is primarily for work and productivity purposes, you may have some issues with text clarity and visibility in bright rooms such as offices, but I don’t think it will be a major issue. The only difference between this and the model we reviewed is that it supports FreeSync instead of G-Sync.
This is Alienware’s latest version, AW3225QF. It’s a little smaller at 32 inches, but its excellent QD-OLED display has 4K resolution, crisp colors and deep blacks. When I first fired up Helldivers 2 and landed on some of the more colorful and atmospheric maps, I was stunned. It looked even more cinematic. I’ve been working with this monitor for the past few weeks and wish I had switched to OLED sooner. It’s really great. Did we mention the 240Hz refresh rate? —Julian Cioccatu
Speaking of great ultrawide monitors, the LG Ultragear 34GS95QE (8/10, WIRED Recommended) has deep, attractive curves that are perfect for immersive gaming. Like the Alienware mentioned above, it has a 240Hz panel, so it’s fast enough for even the most agile shooters, and the OLED panel makes every moment even more cinematic.
gaming headset deals
The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless (10/10, WIRED Recommended) has got to be one of the most impressive pairs of gaming headsets we’ve ever reviewed. The battery life is remarkable, said to last over 300 hours on a single charge. No, that’s not a typo. Our tests bear that out, with these headphones running for 325 hours while playing music, before finally being turned off.
If you don’t need that insane battery life, the Logitech G Pro X Lightspeed (8/10, WIRED Recommended) is my current favorite gaming headset. It features Logitech’s Lightspeed Wireless connectivity via a 2.4 GHz dongle, which provides significantly less lag while gaming than standard Bluetooth headphones. Enjoy Bluetooth and 3.5mm connectivity on all your devices, even when you’re not using your gaming PC.
SteelSeries has discounts on several headsets, including my daily driver, the Arctis Nova Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends). I’m a big fan of the included DAC. This makes adjusting volume and settings very convenient, and the hot-swappable battery feature has saved me many times in the middle of a dungeon. Luxury items aren’t cheap, but there are sales from time to time and you’ll only be cheaper than this price once, so grab these while you can. WIRED Editor Julian Cioccatu also uses these as his daily headphones (for over 2 years) and one of the ear cushions broke after 2 years of use, but was easily replaced using the Wicked Cushions. He said he did.
Keyboard and Controller Sale
The Q1 HE (9/10, WIRED Recommends) was a keyboard that I really liked at its price when it was released in mid-2024. With an all-aluminum case, gasket mounting, Bluetooth connectivity, and Keychron’s highly customizable Nebula double-rail Hall effect switches, it’s the perfect keyboard for work or gaming with a great feel. You can customize and fine-tune every aspect of this keyboard to your liking. It might sound a little better, but it’s a very good overall package, so these complaints are worth it, especially since these small points are all down to personal preference and won’t matter to a significant number of buyers. can be ignored. Usually sold at markup prices on Amazon and Best Buy, they are currently discounted. However, the best value is sold directly from Keychron. —Henry Robbins
I don’t know why this keyboard is so cheap, but it is. Lemokey is Keychron’s new gaming brand, aimed at working with its more office-oriented keyboard series. However, the great thing about Lemokey is that it runs on the same firmware and has the same great specs as the Keychron board, under a gamer-friendly style. The X4 is no different. This keyboard features QMK programmability, gasket mounting, Gateron switches, 75% layout, and comes from a reputable brand for less than $30. However, features such as wireless connectivity and hot-swappable switches are not unavailable. The X4 is the most versatile of the lineup with a 75% layout, finding the sweet spot between functionality and desk space. —Henry Robbins
The Keychron V1 Max is a mid-range product in Keychron’s mid-range lineup. It’s much cheaper than the Q Max lineup (same keyboard with a metal case) while having 75% the layout, knobs, gasket mounting, and wireless connectivity. These keyboards are comfortable to type on, light and easy to carry, and have all the features you need for everyday use. We would realistically recommend any model in the V Max lineup, as the only difference is the layout, but we found the 75% to be the most space-efficient option for regular use. —Henry Robbins
I’m a big board fan, and it’s not hard to see the appeal of a compact option like the Razer Huntsman Mini. By sacrificing a few keys you might not use often, you’ll free up desk space and get a more ergonomic position for games where you use the mouse with one hand. Size aside, the Huntsman Mini is just as well equipped as its bigger sibling, including full RGB support, access to Razer software for customization, and keycap compatibility with other Razer sets.
Need a mouse too? Logitech’s G203 is a great no-frills product at a very attractive price. It has six programmable buttons, a quick DPI switch, and RGB lighting, but the only drawback is the relatively low maximum DPI. This is not a problem for most users. At less than $40, it’s a great upgrade from a non-gaming mouse or a backup option for LAN parties. For more recommendations, read our guide to the best gaming mice.
Controller players can also enjoy savings with the Scuf Instinct Pro controller, which supports Xbox Series S/X and PC, as well as macOS, iOS, and Android. This controller has quality construction and finish, but the best part is on the back, where four customizable paddles let you reach those tricky buttons without taking your thumbs off the sticks. . This alone is worth the price of admission, and is a feature rarely found on other controllers. Check out our guide to the best game controllers for more information.
flight controller sale
This may not be the flashiest joystick on the market, but you can get this feature set anywhere else for 2-3 times as much. That makes the Logitech G Extreme Pro 3D and its Totally Radical name a great choice for those who occasionally fly jetliners or space trackers.
But what if you want the ultimate flight sim experience? Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight brings a complete cockpit to your desktop with a real yoke, multiple throttle and trim adjustment knobs, and a real-time flight information screen. Place it on top. There’s also a light panel that shows you the current status of your favorite PC games without having to look up.
PC Components Sale
I strongly believe that you should only use high quality power supplies from reputable manufacturers. The Corsair RM1000x fits that bill. With enough power to power all but the most demanding GPUs, 80 PLUS Gold efficiency, and full modular ports, this product is easy for me to recommend and its price on Amazon is within $10 of its previous highest price.
Near the top of AMD’s range, the Ryzen 9 7950X is one of the fastest and most powerful CPUs before moving on to the larger Threadripper platform. It has enough features to be suitable for modeling and production work, probably more than most gamers need, but maybe not more than they need.
