Zaha Hadid Architects has revealed plans for a cultural centre like the future of Italy. Eye-catching buildings are defined by carved aluminum facades designed with local wind conditions in mind.
The heart of Mediterranean culture is located in the Messina Strait of Reggio Calabria in southern Italy.
Its facade is 90% opaque and is made from locally produced marine-grade anodized aluminum panels. As the studio focus has been on the studio since the founder passed, Zaha Hadid Architects has leaned heavily towards computer modeling to ensure that the building is well-responsive to local circumstances, which informs its unusual shape. Masu.
“An advanced computer simulation modeling alters the building volume between a public courtyard evacuating sunlight in one of Europe’s southernmost cities and a public courtyard where strong winds from the north are evacuating straight in the summer. The structure of the building to be made has been decided.” Hard. “Depending on that direction, each evacuated courtyard either overlooks the east port, the city in the south, or leads to a west-facing terrace with a straight, panoramic view of Sicily and Sicily.”

Meanwhile, the interior measures 24,000 square meters (almost 260,000 square feet) and features a winding layout inspired by marine life. It includes an aquarium, conference center, auditorium, educational space, bookstores, restaurants and bars, with the top priority theme of introducing the relationship between the locals and the Mediterranean.
Additionally, landscaping is important, and includes 60 native plant varieties with rainwater capture systems installed for irrigation.
The project is currently under construction, but there is no word on it being planned to be completed. It is coming at a busy time for Zaha Hadid Architects, attacking recent metropolitan areas in Saudi Arabia, the Uzbekistan Research Centre, and China’s skyscrapers.
