What are you doing this weekend? Toby has caught my cold, so I’m going to heat up some chicken soup while he watches Friends on the couch. (We also love this video of Stephen Curry raving about Hamilton with his daughters.) Have a nice day — take care of yourself — and here are some fun links from around the web…

What would Paris look like if all the stars were visible?
I’ll be sure to hand out potatoes next Halloween.
Additionally, two comments from readers:
Julie D says about your worst haircut: “15 years ago, I asked my then-boyfriend to cut my bangs. It was clearly a disaster. They weren’t straight, so he cut me shorter and shorter until I had the most ridiculous micro bangs. Let’s think about a Monday morning in the office when a co-worker returns from a long absence and we’re all scared of the awkwardness. I shouldn’t have done that. She came in and I turned around and she started laughing uncontrollably and we all hugged her and did that. That bad thing saved the day. Maybe things happen for a reason.”
Niamh says of her seven picks: As an exhausted human being/mother, I love coming here. It’s a place of inspiration (cooking, reading, friendship, fashion, Brooklyn 99 x 101, ha!), but above all, it’s comfortable. Today was a particularly bad day, with a tantrum that ended near 11pm. And while my toddler and I were frustrated and crying, I dreamed that he was sleeping and I finally checked out the Cup of Joe (a mug of hot chocolate, it’s almost midnight). ! ). What I want to say: Thank you for writing, sharing, and being active for so long that this is the safest and most welcoming place on the internet. You are bringing joy, serenity, information, and overall happiness to so many people. Also, love that you share your political views clearly and respectfully. This was my first time voting in America and it felt incredible to vote for Harris and Walz!!!!”
