Donald Trump is announcing a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico, excluding Canadian energy.

Canada’s Ontario has put a 25% tariff on electricity exports into three US provinces, threatening to cut off electricity if Trump retaliates. Trump will retaliate by doubling tariffs on Canadian steel and metals to 50%. Ontario will retreat the next day, as Trump does.
The EU and Canada will retaliate against Trump’s tariffs on steel and aluminum.
