Triumph went all out for fans of the iconic one-seater cruiser with the launch of the 2025 Bonneville Bobber TFC (Triumph Factory Custom). It’s adorned with detailed bodywork, premium components, and, yes, delicious carbon fiber pieces. It brings a whole new vibe to this classic silhouette.
The British brand has also squeezed even more performance out of its popular 1,200cc Bonneville powertrain, reduced weight and added a bit of new riding technology to make this more than just a beautiful collector’s item. Here’s what you get for your money:
Do you mean factory custom?
That’s correct. Since 2017, Triumph has produced a small number of limited edition bikes based on its own models, with special finishes, bespoke tuning and additional goodies for discerning customers. Previous productions include the outrageous Rocket III Hyper Cruiser, the Thruxton Cafe Racer, and in 2020, the TFC version of the Bobber.
These are a step up from the Icon Edition bikes with unique color schemes, graphics, and hand-painted elements. Also, unlike Icon Edition machines, TFC bikes have mechanical upgrades and are produced in limited quantities, resulting in higher prices.
Tasteful details
The first big difference you’ll notice is the two-tone finish, which is black with hand-painted textured gold detailing to complement other design details throughout the bike. There are gold details on the folklore, chain and even the ignition key.
This Bobber features TFC badges on the engine cover and glossy carbon fiber side panels. There’s also a black leather seat embossed with the Triumph logo, and the tank is signed by the artist who worked on it.
Custom-tuned performance
The Bobber TFC features the same 1,200 cc mill as the standard version of the bike, but it’s tuned for better low-rpm responsiveness. This means it reaches peak power of 77 horsepower at less than 6,000 RPM and peak torque of 78 lb.ft (105.75 Nm) at just 3,750 RPM.
However, it’s worth noting that the 2020 Bobber TFC was a little more powerful. It made 85 horsepower at 6,250 RPM and 81 lb.ft (109.9 Nm) at 4,500 RPM. Still, this new model is nothing to sneeze at considering it’s 11 pounds (14 kg) lighter than the standard model.
Triumph also transitioned from the Arrow custom exhaust on older Custom models to Akrapovic slash-cut accessory tailpipes. These feature carbon tips and finishers for a more distinctive look.
The suspension has also been significantly improved. It has fully adjustable Ohlins upside-down forks at the front and a fully adjustable Ohlins monoshock at the rear. Both are paired with a slim 19-inch front wheel for a more comfortable ride and improved handling. Meanwhile, heavy 310mm discs paired with twin Brembo M50 radial calipers should stop the track at a moment’s notice.
This special edition adds a third riding mode in addition to the standard model’s rain and road modes. Sport mode provides instant throttle response. It also features a clip-on handlebar on a billet aluminum yoke rather than a traditional wide flat bar for a more aggressive look. Oh, and there’s also a nice badge and number near the single-dial dash.
Quite a penny for a very beautiful bike
The Bobber TFC costs $18,495, making it significantly more expensive than the standard $13,995 Bobber or the $14,795 Icon Edition. However, only 750 units will be produced for the global market, so you’ll have to be really lucky to get your hands on one. Still, there are plenty of nice upgrades and custom details for the price. If you are looking to buy a special machine, it can be even worse.
