Netflix’s new romantic comedy series “Nobody Wants This” tells the story of a rabbi (Adam Brody) and a sex-agnostic podcaster (Kristen Bell) who fall in love, despite everyone’s disapproval. The first episode will be released today. If you are religious, have you ever dated someone outside of your faith? If you would like to share, we would love to hear about your experience. (Also on the show, their siblings are Jonah from Veep and Willa from Succession!)
I recently refreshed all the towels in my house by layering them with fluffy white cotton towels. I love getting out of the shower, wrapping myself up and feeling so clean and good. The nicest towels I’ve ever tried (and I’ve tried many) are the super luxurious towels from Brooklinen. Brooklinen is a beloved long-time partner of ours and a brand our family has used for 10 years. Remember this essay written by a woman who was diagnosed with autism at the age of 34? Marian Shenbari felt “different,” overwhelmed by noise and light, and struggled with social awkwardness. And I wrote a heartfelt, funny, and wonderful memoir about growing up to finally realize that I wasn’t broken, I was just autistic. I read the manuscript a few months ago, and I cried as I reread the book in one day last weekend. Her memoir is a gift that helps people feel compassion for themselves and others. Also! I’ll be speaking with Marian at Barnes & Noble UWS on Monday, October 7th. Please join us if you like. Shit
As a Michigan girl, I grew up eating Detroit-style pizza, a crispy pan pizza with sauce on top of cheese. “This is insanely delicious,” J. Kenji Lopez-Alt wrote. Every once in a while, I tried a version of it in New York, but I couldn’t quite get it right until Nate’s Pizza recently opened in Carroll Gardens. Gahhaha, very good. López-Alto has also come up with some great recipes to make at home.
What are you enjoying these days? Let me know in the comments! Shit
PS More fun, and pizza math.
