Lighting Size Guide

Choosing the right size light is essential for a balanced, modern interior. Use this guide to scale your pendants, chandeliers, wall lights and floor lamps correctly to your room.

Ceiling Lights & Chandeliers

  • For general rooms, choose a chandelier or ceiling light with a diameter around one-third of the room’s width.
  • Above a dining table, the fixture should be about 50–75% of the table width for a well-proportioned look.
  • Ideal hanging height above a dining table is 75–90 cm from the tabletop.
  • In open spaces, keep at least 213 cm (7 ft) clearance from floor to the bottom of the light.

Pendant Lights Over Counters & Islands

  • Hang pendants approximately 70–85 cm above kitchen islands or counters.
  • When using multiple pendants, space them roughly 30–45 cm apart for even lighting.

Wall Lights & Sconces

  • Mount wall lights at a height of around 165–180 cm from floor level.
  • For hallway or corridor lighting, space sconces approximately 180–240 cm apart, depending on brightness.

Floor & Table Lamps

  • Lamp shades should sit close to eye level when seated to avoid glare and ensure comfort.

  • Dispatch Time: All orders are typically processed within 5–7 business days (1 week) of placement.

Tracking Your Order

Damaged Parcels

If your package arrives damaged, please photograph the outer box, inner packaging and the product and contact us within 24 hours of delivery. This helps us coordinate quickly with the courier and supplier to resolve the issue.

  • Return requests must be raised within 14 days of delivery.
  • Items must be unused, uninstalled and in original packaging, including all accessories and components.
  • Installed fixtures, used products and customised orders are not eligible for return.

  2. Wait for our confirmation and return instructions.
  3. Ship the item back in secure packaging to prevent transit damage.

Every fixture sold on Liglite is covered by the manufacturer’s standard warranty for peace of mind.

What the Manufacturer Warranty Covers

Backed by the manufacturer’s standard warranty (typically 1–3 years depending on model). Covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential use. To claim, contact the product manufacturer directly. Original purchase receipt is required. Warranty excludes bulbs, accidental damage, improper installation, or misuse. Liglite does not provide warranty service or guarantee claim approval.

How to Start a Manufacturer Warranty Claim

  1. Confirm your light is still within the manufacturer’s warranty period.
  2. Check that the issue is not caused by accidental damage or incorrect installation.
  3. Contact the manufacturer via their official warranty support channel.
  4. Request an RMA/RA reference number if required.
  5. Prepare your documentation: proof of purchase, photos/videos of the issue and product details.
  6. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for inspection, repair or replacement.

Before Installation

  • Ensure the main power supply is turned off at the breaker.
  • Confirm your electrical system voltage matches the fixture rating (commonly AC 110–240V).
  • Check that the ceiling or wall can safely support the weight of the fixture.
  • Read the installation diagram and instructions supplied with the product before starting work.

During Installation

  • Follow the wiring diagram exactly as provided by the manufacturer.
  • Secure all connections using appropriate connectors and fixings.
  • Adjust hanging height or fixture position before final tightening to achieve the desired look.

After Installation

  • Restore power and test the light to ensure it operates correctly.
  • Check that the fixture is stable and aligned.
  • Install bulbs where required, following the recommended wattage and type.

Improper installation may void the manufacturer’s warranty. Always consult a licensed professional if you are unsure about any step.

Glass, Crystal & Acrylic Parts

  • Use a gentle glass cleaner sprayed onto a cloth (never directly onto the fixture or electrical parts).
  • Support delicate components with one hand while cleaning to prevent strain.

Metal Finishes

  • Dust regularly to prevent buildup.
  • For brushed or plated metals, use only manufacturer-approved cleaners or a soft dry cloth.

Outdoor & Damp Areas

  • Only use fixtures with a suitable IP rating for bathrooms or outdoor zones.
